I had the pleasure this year of photographing Nicola & Craig on their Wedding Day. You may have seen them on Hitched which is running on TV 3 at the moment.
As a photographer you get to shoot in some fabulous, interesting and sometimes unusual locations but capturing a Groom & his groomsmen in an elevator that also includes a film crew makes a great shot but a very full elevator with no room to breathe out!I was worried to that they would be in my frame all day making my job much more difficult but I have to say apart from the odd sound bomb in shot they respected my space.
Being involved in this process I have discovered that there is more than one reality. Hitched only showed one view of it through its view finder. Partly it is because it is a TV camera & it doesn’t capture, freeze frame those moments of time that give us a permanent memory & all that the expression says.
Editing & cutting & pasting can certainly change the perception of the story as well.
Most couples don’t have the benefit of Event Management experience as they did. In achieving the perfection they knew they could have & wanted for their day they achieved it with grace & style & to share this day with them was a privilege. read more>>
